This night carries a special historical weight. In 1942, the Brauntex Theatre first opened its doors to our community. That same year, the “Hand Over Heart” gesture was officially codified as our national salute for the Pledge of Allegiance.

On July 2nd, we celebrate these two legacies and our nation’s Semiquincentennial with a 15-time USO veteran who lives that salute every day.
